Almost 100 street performers and buskers auditioned for 3 minutes each for a spot in this summer's Grate Performances series in the Big Apple's Duffy square.

Billed as the "crossroads of the world", the Times Square Alliance events are scheduled to start May 28th.

Sadly, New York City performers are usually restricted to performing underground in the city's dark and dirty subway system. This time, however, they were allowed to perform in the sunshine and be viewed by the general public.

Revealing some fresh faces, there were some old familiar ones with even the Naked Cowboy "butting" in.

(BOULDER) In a technological breakthrough, Busker Alley has just released "Sideshow!", the first busker one-hour feature film on Blu-ray disc including the docu-comedy "Those Bloody Buskers"."SideShow!" has been shot in HD and features dozens of buskers and street-performers dancing across the city's pitches for our entertainment pleasure. For you clothes-horses, it also features some of the best-dressed buskers in the world.

Returning to it's roots, Busker Alley has been shooting footage since it's inception in 1995 all within the context of busking and street-performing. They initially went to HD internet display in 2007 followed by a High-Definition AVCHD disc in 2009.

I've been busking without a tip jar or sign. I don't ask for money i just play. When someone offers money i stop playing, put the money in my pocket. The police tell me im soliciting. I say no im not. They say yes you are. I say no im not....ect . can anyone give me some talking points?
