busking by ProfGizmo on Nov 11, 2009
Hoping to get over to Lawrence this Saturday. The Jay Hawks are at home playing football and there is a good crowd milling about in Downtown Lawrence. They are busker friendly. Hopefully will keep me busy. Wish me luck.

The coolest buskers in the world, the strings on Danny’s guitar cable froze, Paul’s saxophone froze, Tony’s fingers froze and Riet froze. The Antarctic Minkes busked as the temperature dropped from -8°C to -15°C in Antarctica. Magical Busking Book by ProfGizmo on Oct 28, 2009
Just got done re-editing my busking book titled "STREETWISE- A Guide to Magical Street Performing." I changed my performance and noted it in the book. It has increased my hats considerably. The magic is primarily close-up, but it will also work for the bigger performer. Check out my website at: http:// blackbeltmagician.com You can order the book directly from there using paypal.
Well, summer is about over. I had hoped to get out more, but my work schedule wouldn't allow it. I did make the Lawrence Buskerfest. It was great. Lawrence, KS is a cool town. They are busker friendly. I did get booted out of an art show in Kansas City this summer. It was the first time in a decade.
Won't be back there next year. I did some performing at the River Market in downtown KC. Did decently, but the market...

Chinese tightrope walker crosses 400 meter chasm by BC on Oct 27, 2009
 Chinese tightrope walker Adili Wuxiuer draws a large crowd as he crosses a 400 metre drop in China's southern Yunnan province.

Wuxiuer, who belongs to China's Uighur minority ethnic group, was invited to the Yunnan town of Dousha in south-west China to perform his unusual act. Tightrope walking is very popular throughout China.

"It's very interesting that these tightrope walkers always use huge balancing bars which actually makes the crossing much easier than it looks", said an onlooker about the feat. "On a calm day, I'd really like to see them simply walk across without anything assisting their balance. Now that would be something."
