Mysterious busker is really a Superstar by BC on Feb 4, 2015
:surprised2: (VENICE BEACH) Disguised head-to-toe in metallic gold, a famous performer has surprised onlookers in Venice Beach by posing as a busker.

Going incognito, the "She Came to Give It to You" singer, 36, was busting moves best described as “the robot” borrowed from the mime Robert Shields. While wearing a gold hat, sunnies, and chains with his face covered in a gold mask to a crowd on the street, fans were shocked when the Grammy-winning artist revealed himself from under the costume.

As it turns out, the former judge on the US version of The Voice was shooting a skit for a MasterCard campaign. He surprised a fan - who had earlier been told she was appearing in a documentary about the OMG singer - with a personal performance, the Daily Mail reports.

Key West Buskers must pay to perform by BC on Jan 1, 2015
:hot: (KEY WEST) Just when you think they've figured it all out, Key West's city hall has created still more controversy in their busking laws. The city along with the Cultural Preservation Society(?) now wants to charge individual buskers $20 a night for accepting tips. Federal courts repeatedly rule that permit fees for First Amendment activity are unconstitutional. Yet we see constant challenges to the right of free speech. City halls do not seem to understand that busking and street performing are immune to their taxing. Confusion appears to come when the performer is observed accepting tips. Poll: Do You Support Putting More Restrictions on Buskers? by BC on Dec 3, 2014
:stilts: (NEW YORK) Are these crazy people out to get your money or are these legitimate artists doing their thing? A local New York poll wants to know more about buskers and street performers. What about those cartoon characters? Just who are they? Should there be more restrictions? Less restrictions? Any restrictions?

We've all seen the guy holding the a sign with his dog by his side. Is he performing or looking to feed his dog? Are there laws to prevent him from bothering tourists? Should there be? The dog certainly isn't harassing anyone.

What about the Naked Cowboy? What exactly does he do? Is he breaking laws as he reveals more than just his guitar? Does he even play guitar? It's no wonder NYC...

Busker Needed on Dec 7 morning in Hamilton by Taylor on Nov 4, 2014
Hi
We are looking for a busker to entertain at our Corporate Children's Christmas Party on December 7 at Dofasco Park.

Our party is from 9:00am - 1:00pm
Depending on the price, we would like someone for 2 hours.

Ideally someone to walk around to juggle and do magic tricks. If you can do this on a unicycle, even better.

I can be contacted at ttaylor@hpa.on.ca or at (905)574-6044 x105

Thanks
Tracy Taylor
