Festival of World Cultures, Dublin – Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August ’09
Now, in its ninth year, the Festival of World Cultures is an annual three-day celebration of traditional cultures held each August in Dun Laoghaire Town, just 10km outside Dublin City. The Festival offers a kaleidoscopic programme of concerts and club nights, fairs and markets, dance and street events, workshops and a gigantic feast of global arts and cultures. Buskers and street performers are a key element of the Festival’s outdoor programme; bringing music, dance, circus, atmosphere and much more to the Festival streets. For this year’s Festival, Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August, we are seeking innovative street performers and buskers. Preference will be given to those with a cultural slant. With a footfall of 230,000 in 2008, there are fantastic opportunities for the successful applicants.
Do you think you have what we are looking for?
Please email
info@fwc.ie for more information on the application process. All buskers and street performers need festival accreditation in order to perform over the Festival weekend
